@youboots: I think DD was mildly allergic to this one type of peach, she only got a slight rash, but it was tough trying to go back and think about what it was since she has multiple foods everyday!

@youboots: I followed the 3 day rule when first introducing solids (so maybe 2 weeks or so) and then would start mixing things up and giving more than one food at once too. (DH and I both have food allergies and I'm a celiac so we kept an eye on things but luckily so far neither child seems to have major allergy problems (they both don't react well to citrus)).

@Alivoo01: @snowjewelz: thanks for weighing in. She has a secondary allergy to eggs. I'll just keep my excitement in check. She just loves everything and I want her to enjoy all the foods.

I never followed that but no one has allergies. If I were you I'd be more careful too... Maybe not 3 days but at least 2?

Since she has allergies, I would monitor her after consuming each food to check for an allergic reaction. So maybe waiting a day or two wouldn't be a bad idea. Or you can introduce a couple things and keep in mind what you fed her. No reaction during the day, proceed with other stuff next day.

We started T on solid foods a week and a half ago and so far it's going great. She is eating puréed peas (home made) and canned pears and sweet potatoes. I made her purées from garnet yams and sweet potatoes (white flesh, the can is orange). I've heard to introduce a new solid food every 3 days. So should I follow that rule for these other potatoes or am I good to give her any of them? Has anyone ever heard of a baby having a reaction to different brands of the same food?

I feel like I am being a bit of a stickler since M is gluten intolerant and I have a nut and egg allergy. Thank you.
