Her solution was to have one bottle a day for him be either goat milk or unsweetened almond milk with his lunch. She doesn't pump at work anymore at 10-11 months, but wakes up before him to pump and I thinks adds in a pump in the evening too. So while she's away she gives him two bottles of BM and one bottle of other milk in addition to a balanced and varied diet of solids. In order to nurse more at night, we brought our son into bed with us. I credit this 100% to being able to stay home with him since June &amp; only needing to pump 2 days a week. But I go back to work in 3 weeks and thus go back to pumping.</p> <p>Beyond mentally not being prepared, I'm not sure my body (or daily schedule) can physically produce enough milk to get us to a year (7 weeks after I start work). I'm going to try and know I can get some breastmilk, but what if I can't make enough? I don't have a freezer stash.</p> <p>Do I supplement with formula at 10.5 months? (That seems so late to add formula.) Supplement with whole milk? (That seems so early.) Give what I get and make up the difference at night? (My pediatrician said that's okay, but it sounds like a form of torture that should be illegal.)</p> <p>Ready? Vote! </p>
