I had continuous light spotting with Mirena for about 8-10 months. Now i never get my period. The heaviest period i had was spotting for 3 days.

I spotted for many months with Mirena. I think it’s normal, but call your Dr if you are unsure.

Holy smokes! No experience with IUD, but good luck. That sounds really frustrating.

I think it depends on how much. I would have appointment to be safe. I had that happen when I bleed for six months straight and it was a lot. I always had to wear a pad and changed it a few times daily. It made me anemic. I personally dont like iuds. They scare me.

Took me 6 months to stop spotting with my Mirena, I was told that was normal. Haven't had a period in more than 2 years since then, so totally worth it!

Unfortunately sounds normal. If it’s still going at 6mo I would consider removing if you hate it

http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/is-this-normal-kyleena-edition

(bullet point version)
I had my 3rd child in March.
Period had not started.
I put Kyleena (similar to Mirena) birth control at end of July.
For a week, there was nothing.
A week later, I spotted spotting/bleeding.
I am still spotting since (never stopped).
So basically I've been wearing a pad since July.
Did go to followup appt and doctor said give it time.
How much time before this is not normal?
Schedule another appt?
