haven't been there, but my doctor was pretty proactive too when i started spotting in late 1st trimester. i appreciated it. it was nothing, but nice to know what's going on.

I wouldn't worry. Your body does need to get a period though, and not getting one for a really long time can cause problems, but that is in extreme cases :) I am sure your dr will be able to help your body get itself regulated again. Good luck!

Since I haven't gotten my period since October when I went off the pill, I thought I'd call my dr to find out her thoughts.
The secretary called me today and asked that I come in next week so I have an appointment on Tuesday. I have to take a urine pregnancy test and if that comes out negative, a blood test.

On one hand I'm totally freaking out that my doctor is worried and that's why she wants to see me asap, but on the other hand I'm glad I'm going in right away because I have a lot of questions and if I do need to start taking medication to start my period I'm happy to do it sooner rather then later.

Do you think I should be concerned or do you think my doctor is trying to be proactive? I know it's common for it to take a few months for your body to regulate after going off the pill...but I'm a natural worrier.
