My policy did renew in January. I should get the Omsbudman service my company hired on the insurance company. Right now I'm paying for a Medela Symphony rental for work. It's $65 a month but works better than the Amenda Purely Yours my sister gave me. I bought new parts and had the Purely yours checked for suction at the hospital. Ugh I feel your pain Highwire. My LO was born in January. I had to wait 3 months for my pump from my insurance due to the DME provider changing their ordering system and requirements shortly after I placed my order, which eventually meant I had to reorder my pump and send lots of angry emails. </p> <p>Do you know if any of the spare Medela parts work with the Ameda pump? I have a Hygeia pump and many of the parts from a Medela pump work with both.</p> <p>Anyway, good luck! I figure three more weeks isn't that big of a difference at this point and we already paid for the rental this month. If they send it to me in July, great, if not, I'll get the Ameda. I still don't know what I get through my insurance-- it renewed in Jan, but when I called I got a really convoluted response early in the year, so I'm planning to call again now that it's almost baby time and they have had a few months to work it out. My health plan was not up for renewal until May 2013 which would be the first time I was eligible for a free breast pump. I put my order in for a breast pump in May. They told me the pump would not be available until June. I just got another notification that it is now delayed again until July. Le sigh. My kid is over 6 months old already and would love to be able to either have two pumps for work and home or return this expensive hospital grade pump we've been renting all this time! </p>
