It could be a little virus that LO is fighting off. It could also be something you ate is making them stinky. My LO goes through phases where his smell terrible! I realized one week it was because I was eating a lot of beets/parsnips/roasted veggies.

New diapers? I know when we use disposables, particularly these pampers ones we're trying, they actually stink, whereas in her cloth they don't.

It could also be a reason due to what you eat since the baby gets that as well (indirectly). Like if I ate durian or heavily spiced food like curry or Indian food, DS's poop would definitely smell more toxic than normal.

She did a huge one this am that didn't smell at all. So bizarre!!

@keepcalmcarrie: she started to go longer! Then the last 1-2 days it's been a little in every diaper, almost hourly, and occasional big ones. She has a killer rash because even with diaper cream it clears up and comes back as soon as she poops because it's constant! She doesn't care but it looks killer when it's bad.

Has Baby recently started pooping less frequently?

Henry has started having some, um, fragrant dipes - part of it is his dairy intolerance, I think, but if your LO doesn't show any other signs of that, maybe it's just that poop is sitting longer in the GI tract? I know H has recently started pooping just once a day or every other day, whereas before it was probably 8 times a day!

We experienced this (or I guess experience as he still does it?). It's his normal. We can smell his poop from a mile away and they are STINKY. He's 6 months and doesn't have any known food allergies.

Holy cow. My 6 week old's poops STINK. I googled and this seems like some people say normal, some people say dairy issue.

However - her poops are otherwise normal, and she's not uncomfortable except for the occasional trapped burp/fart. They just stink.

Anyone else experience this?
