@Emsmems: Yes I believe 45 minutes is the transition to the next sleep cycle.

LO does this all the time too. For 30 mins - 45 minutes I have to tip toe around the house or else she will startle and wake up. If she is able to sleep past that I can usually do just about anything in the house and not wake her. She usually has 3 catnaps (~30 mins) everyday and one really long nap (~2 hours).

I just bought the "No Cry Sleep Solution" and the "No Cry Nap Solution". It talks a little about this, it sounds like she's transitioning into a different sleep cycle. At least she's staying asleep! It says those short cat naps (that we've both posted about) are because they wake up between sleep cycles! So it sounds like you LO is getting better!

Yeah, I just went in once to give her the pacifier because I could see on the monitor that she was trying to get it.

Of course, now that I've posted this question, she is sleeping without a peep!

M does this. I've learned not to get him until it's a full-on cry.

So DD has been asleep for 1 hr 40 min and since the 40 minute mark, she's been stirring and waking up, cry a little, then quiet down and it seems like she's asleep again. Every 5 minutes or so she does this. Do you think she's getting rest? How long do I let her keep doing this?

PS. She did have a long day yesterday visiting the in-laws. She only took 3 naps... 30 min, 1.5 hr, and 30 min. Maybe she's catching up on sleep?
