I also was a little nervous putting it on my registry but oh well, I'd rather have something higher quality that I can use for multiple kids. And, that way if nobody gets it for me, I can get the 10% off from amazon.com and get it myself.

We have one. I mainly got it because I didn't want a large footprint in my very small condo. It blends in well with the furniture and has a higher resell value. That being said, we also purchased this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042D69VA/ref=wms_ohs_product_img for whenever we'd travel to the in-laws house. It's so good (super affordable, easy to carry around) that I almost thing the Tripp Trapp was unnecessary. :P

We have the Stokke with the infant accessories. My LO (7 months old), isn't a very good sitter but she's able to sit well in the Stokke. The height is perfect for our table so instead of a tray, she's able to actually eat at the table. The only thing I wish it did was fold but we never put it away so it's not really a problem. Overall, I'm really happy with it and it's definitely been worth the price.

Saw something similar to the Stokke today on Zulily for a lot less if anyoneis interested: http://www.zulily.com/e/badger-basket-073112.html?pos=0

Had no idea what it was before this post, had to Google it... not really my thing since we spent $25 on an Ikea high chair that I can hose off, but they sure look nice :)

My SIL loves it, my brother hates it.

Honestly, I would rather buy the FP space saver high chair and spend the extra $200 elsewhere!

I wanted one badly, until I test drove one at my MIL's house ( it was the only high chair she suggested).

I found it impractical. The design is great and it is wood, but, it doesn't fold, doesn't have wheels or a tray. I found it hard to get my son in and out of it using the infant insert and I couldn't get him out fast enough if he was choking. Plus, it gets expensive with the add ons, it doesn't even come with a harness, which is a must for me.

I vote YES. Stokke makes things at such a high quality, it can become an heirloom and be passed down for generations.
I swear I don't work for Stokke, I just really love their products. :)

They have such great craftsmanship, design, materials, and everything is built to last throughout your child's life. Worth it in my book!

My cousin in law ended up getting this because she did not like the fisher price one she registered for. I think she really likes it!
They have it on sale sites a lot but even then it's $$$!

I honestly don't know what makes it do special that it's do expensive. Besides the wood construction. I haven't decided if I want a conventional high hair yet or just the clip ones.

Trying to decide what high chair to put on our registry. My BFF has the stokke Tripp trapp and loves it. Her son has outgrown the infant accessory for it so she's sending that to me. I love how it looks like a real chair rather than being plastic. And it's great that it grows with the child for so long. Heck I've even sat in it when I've gone to my friend's house and been totally comfortable. My only hang up is that it's sooooo expensive. I'm almost embarrassed to put it on my registry. Do you have it? Do you think it's worth the price?
