@yellowbird: my daughter was sick tuesday into Wednesday, and then I got it that sunday. So, four days. That being said, she got sick while my husband was in Germany and my immune system held out until he got home (thank goodness!).
I had a friend who got a stomach virus when she was 39 weeks and it sent her into labor. (Would that be a good thing for you? When I'm 40 weeks pregnant I want the baby out! Hahaha)

@Mrs. Lovejoy: I called her pediatrician today to see if she needed seen, but since she is drinking consistently, they said there is no need unless she continues to throw up for a full week.

I'm got her to drink a cup of water and eat an applesauce pouch and bread for dinner. I tried pedialyte but she refuses to drink it. She also pooped for the first time in a couple days and she seems happier now.

Oh no! That sounds horrible. We had it pass through our house twice over the last month and I agree with everyone else - bleach! Also, is your doc concerned she's been puking for over 24 hours? Ours wanted us to go to ER if she was sick like that for more than a day to check for anything else and dehydration. Hopefully with spring here it starts warming up and these sicknesses can be gone! Sorry you're going through this now. It really is the worst doing it all while pregnant. Let alone 40 weeks!

We had a bug month ago. It was quick (12 hrs) for me, but my husband threw up for 12 hrs straight then every time he ate for another day. I thought I was going to have to take him to the hospital for dehydration. My daughter only threw up once (in my face, of course) but had diarrhea for a week. Our ped said the bug going around was really long lasting. I hope she's feeling better soon and little man doesn't keep you waiting much longer!

I have been washing hands a million times a day and wiping everything down. Just got done bleaching and washing all bedding again. She seems in better spirits so I'm hoping there is no throw up tonight!

@MamaBehr: how long til you showed symptoms? I'm praying I don't get it. I don't think I can handle that right now!!! Id probably think it was a sign of labor though.

@cmomma17: I guess the one good thing about going past my due date is hopefully she will be healed before he's here!

That sounds awful! I'm so sorry.
When my daughter had one in September, the vomiting only lasted about 6 hours, but she had diarrhea for almost two weeks. My husband thought I was overreacting, but I didn't let her come downstairs and interact with my other two kiddos until she was diarrhea free. I think that is the only way it didn't spread throughout the entire family. (I got a mild version of it, but just me!) I also did the Lysol spray every time I went upstairs to check on her.
Handwashing, bleach, Lysol, that is what I would do. I hope you don't get it!

I did lots of reading (and asked HB haha) and learned that it is passed through vomit and fecal matter (so gross, I know) so the biggest things are really good hand washing and bleaching around where pooping and vomiting happen...but a good bleaching of all the bathrooms, counters and chairs, toys, doorknobs and light switches can't hurt... Some cleaners won't kill it, but bleach should. I also lysoled all the soft stuff that I couldn't bleach, just in case. I also washed all the bedding in hot water. I know...last thing you want to be doing at 40 weeks pregnant :( I am so sorry :(

ETA: I also didn't know before but it can be contagious for up to 2 weeks AFTER symptoms have passed. :(

@Mrs. Lion: ughhhhhh, should I start bleaching now or when she's better??? I've been Lysol wiping everything but she touches everything.

We've watched so much tv we're both fried.

Bleach everything!! :( My husband got it and passed it to the entire family starting when my daughter was 2 weeks...it stuck around and got passed around for a MONTH! The first round lasted 5 days per person, and then we all got it again. I am so sorry :( it is awful! We are finally all better but it took an eternity. And it really really stunk with a newborn.

My 2.5 year old has been throwing up everything she eats since Friday night. She had a 103 fever Saturday morning and Sunday morning but it seems to have broken this morning. She's still throwing up though. It's terrible and so sad...

Oh, I'm also 40weeks pregnant today. I am dying and just want to crawl in a hole :( tell me it will be better soon
