@kiddosc: ahh yes, i second the BRAT diet foods. when we did start giving solids again, it was rice cereal, crackers(plain), applesauce and some bread/toast

DS got a stomach bug at 8 months, he threw up EVERYTHING. the first few days was just small amounts of pedialyte at a time. then we had to switch him from regular milk based formula to soy because he, esentially, became lactose intolerant for 2-3 weeks. we didn't re-introduce solides for quite a few days, just because everything was coming up.
hope the little guy feels better soon.

Poor baby... I would start offering solids that fit into the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). E is getting over a stomach bug now and has been eating a lot of rice cereal mixed with applesauce. I wouldn't worry too much about how much solids he's getting as long as he's staying hydrated.

My LO had a bout with the stomach bug around 8.5 months. It wasn't throwing up, but the other way, but she pretty much refused foods for a good week or so. As long as she had her bottle and was having wet diapers I didn't stress over it. I kept offering her food at mealtimes, and if she ate it, she ate it. If she didn't, I let it go. It took a bit, maybe a week or so, for her appetite to come back but it did. Poor little guy!

My LO seems to have a stomach virus - threw up Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon and I thought he was better but then got sent home from day care yesterday for projectile vomiting all over his classroom (sorry for the tmi). He's not hungry at all, but I want to make sure he's getting some nutrients and staying hydrated. I'm trying small bottles today with 1/2 formula and 1/2 pedialyte (doctor's idea), but I am worried about reintroducing solids. Any experience with reintroducing solids after a stomach virus? What did you give your LO? (He's only been having solids for about a month now and has been sick with ear infections for a lot of that, so he's still on the very basic foods.)
