My MIL had a tendency to always try and put P to sleep even though I'd tell her she just woke up OR that the reason she was fussing was because she was HUNGRY!!!!!! blegh!

ETA: In the forcing paci defense.... we had to "make" P take it quite a bit when she was bitty. She wanted it but it took her awhile to really take it... we had alot of tummy/gas/feeding/suck issues though.

My MIL does the same thing. She just holds in his mouth. I'm like uhm I don't think he wants it now! He isn't a huge fan in the first place but will take it occasionally.

YES! MIL bought some pacis for DD and kept wanting to give them to her when we told her that she had stopped wanting a paci weeks ago. So annoying...

We're visiting DH's family for a few days. I really love all of them. However, I'm noticing that they like to put the paci in Baby A's mouth and hold it there. We obviously use the pacifier or we wouldn't have brought them with us, but damn. Baby A doesn't always want it - she's quite selective. It's not hurting her and DH and I will sometimes joke about how she refuses so they'll get the hint, so I'm not making a big deal of it. I just find it really interesting that they all just want her to have a paci all the time.

Any random strange behavior from your in-laws?
