You can buy canned rice and black beans. He loves them. Lots of different flavors.

For nights when I want her to eat something and she won't eat what I made for dinner, I try to offer something pretty boring- crackers, plain yogurt. If I offer something she really likes like cheese or waffles or pbj in afraid she would always hold our for that. She will almost always eat frozen veggies though, either peas or the mixed ones. So especially if I'm giving her something she might now eat I make sure to have those veggies.

But I also always keep frozen tortellini, chicken nuggets, and meatballs on hand. And randomly she really likes these lentil pouches from Costco.

We always have meatballs and dumplings around because LO will almost always eat that. I also always have some steamed veggies in a container in the fridge.

We have:

dumplings
meatballs
mac & cheese
meat patties
steamed veggies

There is a brand called kid fresh. They are frozen meals that can be microwaved or cooked in the oven. We usually get a box of fish sticks and chicken meatballs to have on hand if we get home late.

Breakfast for Dinner is quick, easy and nutritious. Steel cut oats topped with fruit, french toast spears, green smoothies, hard boiled eggs (make a large batch at the start of the week), frozen sausage, etc.

Annie's White Cheddar Mac; add frozen peas

"Sandwich Skewers" - chunks of baguette, rolled salami and squares of cheese. Serve with fruit, baby carrots and almonds .

Soup from your grocer's cold case - better than canned, usually loaded with yummy additions.

Rotisserie chicken is always great to have on hand. Serve with whatever odds and ends are in your crisper.

Bean and Cheese Burritos or Tacos.

Tuna Salad in a pita pocket, with cucumber rounds.

TJ's has great frozen and refrigerated options if you're really in a bind.

I second @snowjewelz: and the TJ's frozen things. My kids would eat their weight in sweet potato gnocchi if I'd let them, and the spelt risotto (strangely...despite it being full of vegetables!) is a huge hit too.

They also tend to like all variety of breakfast foods -- scrambled eggs (60s in microwave), french toast, pancakes, oatmeal, chicken apple sausage. When/if I'm feeling ambitious, I'll make a batch of pancakes at home with an extra egg or two, some fruit, and PB thrown in and then just freeze the leftover ones in a gallon ziploc so they can easily be nuked.

I think there are a lot of quick easy meal ideas that don't have to venture into frozen entree territory. Dumplings, applesauce, frozen veg or even giving a fruit. It really depends on what your LO will eat?

I keep chicken nuggets, meatballs, sausages (hot dog, breakfast sausage, chicken sausage, etc) in the fridge or freezer at all times. I can pop a few frozen ones in the microwave for a minute or two and be ready to go. Plain omelet also works. And rice in the rice cooker and nori. He will almost always eat sticky rice, with or without nori, and fruit.

We eat a bunch of frozen meals from Trader Joe's... Much healthier and tasty! Great for the nights when we just don't have the time.

DH also routinely gets the rotisserie chicken! So many possibilities.

We use alot of frozen stuff - veggies, spinach or kale and fruit (to put into green smoothies), raviolis

We also keep chickpeas and beans in the pantry and my LO (who is weird) will eat those plain. We use pouches, but I think cans are probably the same.

I know, frozen or boxed meals aren't the healthiest but looking for some ideas. LO2 is SO picky she barely eats what we eat for dinner. If she tries a bite and doesn't care for it I let her have something else to eat, which usually ends up being a waffle...but even that is getting old. Sometimes it's a PB sandwich, but she eats that and toast a lot as is.

What are some easy store bought meals that take less than 5 minutes to make, that I can have on hand?
