I also put in a typed list with everything that is in the bag, just so I know the contents.

I store it all similarly to everyone else, space bags or bins according to age/size range. I also like those plastic comforter bags since they are super easy to label and you can see in them easily. I keep a bag in the closet to toss in things that need to be sorted and from time to time (every few months or when the bag is full) I sort them and add them to the appropriate bin. My biggest tip those is to label very clearly and then line up your containers in order, it makes the whole process so much easier!

If they are hand me downs that I am not ready to use, I just fold nicely and put in a tupperware. I will clean them when I get them out and we are ready to use them.

I'd space bag it according to size, in groups newborn, under 1 year, over 1 year.

Anything more than that is too organized for me and ends up in chaos.

@Foodnerd81: I second the oxyclean! I was flipping out recently b/c all the (clean & spotless) baby clothes I had packed away had gross yellow stains all over them. I soaked it in a big tub of oxyclean overnight and almost every single stain came out.

I store my LO's clothes in plastic bins according to size and type. I have bins for newborn and 0-3 (which includes things like mittens, hats), 3-6, 6-12, and misc stuff like bibs, wash cloths that weren't used, and receiving blankets. Space isn't an issue for us currently but if it were, I would probably vacuum seal to flatten it out.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I can't help on the storing but if you DO get yellowing, soak overnight in oxi clean! Best tip ever- saved so many nice clothes handed down from my nephew.

Our baby clothes are also a mess :( I'm planning to sort through them and organize into different bins for each size when LO moves into her big girl room so I'll have the closet space in the nursery.

Does anyone have any good tips on how to store lots of baby clothes? I have girls clothes and boys clothes and occasionally I get some new stuff in small sizes to add to the collection, but they always end up in a different bin because that's the only place that I have room at the time and it's just a big disaster! Also, how do you decide what clothes to keep. Some brands didn't fit quite right on my last baby. Do you keep outfits like that in case your next baby fits better in those brands or do you assume all of your babies will be relatively the same shape?

As a side note- we're on a REALLY tight budget so I do need to keep as much as realistically possible so that we don't have to stretch our budget further to buy new clothes. I've actually never bought any new baby clothes and I'm not sure how we'd stretch our budget to do so! That being said, we only have a tiny house with a very small one room attic and no basement!
