The straw is the same thick plastic as the cup itself (non-biteable). The straw has a rim on it so it can't be pulled out of the cup top (non-flickable). The cup itself only leaks from the very little space between the straw and its hole (non-spillable). My only problem with those is she likes to take the cups and smash them against the table. I think it will be a watery mess! I like the Zoli but find it really hard to clean. The lollacup is easier to clean but the straw is way too wide, which I think my LO finds overwhelming to drink out of but she's only 8 months.
