the strawberry can be too acidic and could cause the upset stomach. I know when my DD eats too many she gets really bad diarrhea and diaper rash.

@Chillybear: Plus, I'm not sure, but I think if it was an allergy, she would have experienced different symptoms. Hopefully whatever is bothering her, she gets over quickly!! <3

@Adira: ok i too thought that if you were going to have a reaction to something like strawberries it would be more rash based.

I guess i'll give it a few days for her tummy to be better and try again. we'll see if we get the same reaction

My inclination is that it's a coincidence. Allergies to strawberries are extremely rare.

LO is 9 1/2 months old and has been doing really well with solids and has no issues so far. My husband and I have no food allergies that we are aware of. We've erred on the side of cautious when it comes to introducing new foods, esp ones that can be allergenic. She did egg yolks fine. Last night i cut up 1 strawberry with her dinner and she wasn't into it, I was pretty sure none of it actually got swallowed. She was totally normal last night and this morning.

Just got a call from daycare and they said that she's been having diarrhea all morning. I called the Ped and they gave me tips on how to help her tummy but now i'm nervous that she might be allergic to strawberries. Could it be from the strawberry or just coincidence?
