Thank you all!!

She has been fine since 2:45 and it's now 8:52. She's held down 2 pieces of toast, and a cup of water and pedialyte. She's been running around playing, a bit cranky because she can't eat and drink all she wants. No fever, she has a few small spots on her wrist that she didn't have before.

I guess we have 72 hours to determine whether it's a bug or not, but we're not having anymore strawberries, that's for sure!

E throws up strawberries anytime he has them. The allergist seems to think that it isn't an allergy at all but upsetting to his reflux.

C had her first stomach bug start the same day she tried strawberries for the first time. I was really nervous it was an allergy, but she recovered pretty quickly, then I, then DH, came down with a stomach bug, so I knew it wasn't the strawberries. Still scared me to give them to her for months but now she loves them.

We had something similar- too many strawberries at night then screaming the next day. The second time it happened LO had started talking so I could ask if his tummy hurt and he said yes. :( We haven't gone in for formal testing but we are treating it as an allergy for now and avoiding them.

I've been allergic to strawberries since I was 7, my two older children don't seem to be so I've been buying them this season. My youngest had a bit too many yesterday because her sister gave them to her without me in the room (5-6 of them), she was fine yesterday. Today I gave her a peanut and jelly sandwich and 2 large strawberries for lunch. About 2 hours later she threw up only fruit, 4 times then fell asleep. The episode lasted for 30 minutes maybe. She's still sleeping 1.5 hours later, a normal nap lasts 3.

Have you had any experience with allergies that cause vomiting? I didn't notice a rash, no fever, she's lethargic though, but she also skipped her nap.

Just before the episode she and her sister were jumping around tickling and chasing each other, not really sure that that matters.

I'm trying to rule out another stomach bug!
