I'm 30 weeks and I noticed them a few weeks ago, but only on my boobs. I guess going from a B to a D will do that...

@lovelife: I tense up whenever DH runs his hand across my stomach, I have a really hard time with letting him touch/see it.. I know he says he doesn't care, but it's just sooo different and ugly to me..
yeah... I'm on the lookout for cute swimsuits for this summer :) but still gotta lose the thigh fat lol
but I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one. My sister only had like 5 marks, and I don't know anyone else with as many as me.

Ugh stretch marks. My mom got em pretty bad so I knew I was in for them. As much cocoa butter as I slathered on, my entire lower abdomen is completely ruined. The skin below my belly button looks like the most horrible cellulite ever... totally ripped up and dimpled all over. Not to mention the extra skin never went back into place. I now know why my tiny tiny tiny mom has always had a flabby belly.

I got really upset about them about 6 months after Wagon Jr. was born and I went crazy in the shower with a loofah and sugar scrub and pretty much ripped the top layer of skin off of my body. The stretch marks got really red and angry, but they did seem to fade a bit after a week or so. I also bought Bio Oil and used it religiously for a bit, and it did seem to help. But it looks like the best help of all has been time. They're now almost the color of my skin but the texture will never be the same.

The plus side is that with this second pregnancy I'm not seeing many new ones... yet. So while they were ugly and purple with Wagon Jr., this time around they're just a bit lighter than my skin and not nearly as deep.

I've already decided to get laser treatments and PERHAPS a tummy tuck after I close the baby factory... it's really that bad. I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of stretch marks.

@miss-spunkin: ugh it sucks huh!? Good thing one piece swimming suits are kinda back in style! My DD is 7 months old and I think it will always be something I'm uncomfortable with. DH hasn't even seen them in the light!

I've always had some on my butt, but they arent really noticeable and I dont have to see them but these ones showing up on my belly are scaring me lol. I wonder what they will look like after birth once my belly gets small again

I have 3 little ones on my right hip, and a couple on the top front of my thighs. They are really small though. At 39 weeks, I think that I am mostly in the clear. I know my Mom never got any.

@lovelife: I'm not the only one! I'm sorry for you, I know how it is. I will never ever be able to wear a bikini again. It has been really hard for me. I got my first tiny one at 20 weeks. I have them all over my stomach, from above my belly button all the way down to the pubic bone. On my hips, thighs, boobs and butt.

soo jealous of girls who stayed smooth. pregnancy ruined my body,

if you've made it this far consider yourself lucky! My mom has horrible stretch marks so I knew I was doomed...especially since they started showing up at 25 weeks. I have them from from my belly button down all across my stomach. and a few on my love handles. I also have them on my inner thighs. : (

I got two light ones above my belly button at 36 weeks. At 37 weeks I started getting a couple below my belly button--and they just keep coming! I thought I was free and clear :( They are really light, but I'm not sure how they will look after my belly has gone back to normal size.

Oh well. I've already added some high waist vintage bikinis to my shopping list.

I wouldn't worry too much about it- your LO will be here any minute so you won't have too much more growing to do. I got them pretty late, maybe at 36 weeks. But they blew up quickly. They're on the under side of my belly, my tush, thighs, and boobs. Ugh.

If you got stretch marks when did they appear, and which part of your belly was affected?

I'm 40 weeks 1 day and only last week I started noticing that the skin around my belly button looked shinier than usual. Now that I look at it closely it appears to be the beginnings of a ring of tiny strectch marks around my belly button. I'm not even 100% these are stretch marks but thats what they look and feel like to me. I always thought that if I got any stretch marks they would be on the underside of my belly but its totally smooth there.. I'm really hoping that these arent "real" stretch marks and that they fade away after birth
