I think that can cause the cotton to be stiff. Someone mention drying in the dryer on low or after line drying, toss in the dryer to soften them up. Mine are really stiff too. The organic cotton in our diapers is getting really stiff...maybe I have detergent residue? I do a cold rinse, hot wash with Rockin Green and extra rinse. </p>
