I would just get a riding board for the city mini. My 2.5 year old rarely rides in the stroller anymore, which is why we haven't bought a double yet - and may not ever. I doubt one would get used by the time she's 4.

I'm thinking of picking up a stroller to use with my two kids (4 year old and almost 2 year old) for trips to the park, family walks, the mall, etc. I have a city mini and a Chicco single umbrella stroller now but a double stroller sounds convenient for longer walks, etc.

For this age group/gap would you recommend something more like the Joovy sit and stand tandem or a side by side umbrella? I have an opportunity to buy a used but in good condition 2006 Joovy caboose sit and stand tandem for $15. Worth it? On the other hand, I think the kids might like sitting next to each other (they like to hold hands and talk) but I also think my 4 year old might find the sit and stand more fun. Not looking to spend a ton since I'm not sure how much longer we'll be using strollers.

Insights and recommendations on strollers for these purposes/age gaps appreciated!
