I used to lock mine, by running a cable lock through the wheels. It was quite common where I lived that people would steal strollers, especially the higher end ones.

We just upgraded to an expensive stroller and keep it on the ground floor of our building next to the stairs (hello walk-up). In theory, only people who live in the building can access the stairway, but I'm totally paranoid. We lock ours to the stair railing with a simple bike lock. The crime rate in our city is pretty low, but after having lived in NYC, I'm still fearful of theft. If we still lived there, I would probably get a bigger/stronger lock.

@Foodnerd81: haha, well I know some bike snobs- they're bikes are worth more than DH's car so i didn't want to assume you had a crappy bike like a normal person

Stroller locks are handy when your leaving it in a stroller corral at a museum or out to eat. I don't think it's at all weird! Your stoller is probably worth more than your bike (unless you have a very nice bike, 'cause vistas aren't cheap!)

We are planning to leave our uppababy vista in our parking spot in our indoor garage of our building- only people in the building can access the garage which is about 20 odd units. I feel like we should lock it up somehow, like with a bike lock wire thing or something, but not sure how to go about it. Has anyone done something similar? Am I being paranoid? We put a bike lock on our bikes in there but only lock them to each other, not anything immovable. There is one other stroller I've seen in the garage that is unlocked but its also much cheaper.

Any ideas?
