@Minnie_Girl: wow - just checked out the reviews on the Joovy - it does seem to get pretty high praise at a lower price point!

@coacheswife123: what year is the stroller? There was a recall on the BOB recently and you probably have to be the original owner to get whatever was wrong fixed.

@coacheswife123: baby jogger makes the summit XC which is a swivel wheel jogging stroller. The wheel locks for running then releases. I have it and I LOVE it. It's so smooth. There is an adapter that works with most infant seats too. It just clicks into the frame. Really simple with great design and very high quality. It folds with one hand and fits in our small sedans (trunk and hatchback). Also if you want it really compact, the wheels pop off with the touch of a button and it folds up tiny.

Ok - so my mom has a friend who has a friend who is selling her BOB sport utility stroller. She's taken great care of it and there are a very few minor stains on the storage basket in the bottom. She's asking 190 but has been trying to sell it for over a month so I could probably get it for a little less - the price is negotiable.

Should I jump on this??

We went to BRU last night and saw the Baby Trend Expedition stroller. It is priced reasonably but gets mixed reviews... But, for about the same price I could get a brand new jogging stroller. The biggest con I see to the BT Expedition is that it doesn't fold easily but also read reviews that the front wheel is wobbly and its just poorly constructed in general.

We've registered for a Joovy Zoom 360. It's not one I've heard about much on the blogs, so I thought I'd mention it in case you'd like to look at a different option. It's significantly cheaper than BOB (joggers are so expensive!!) and it gets really good reviews. Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with it yet!

I got a BOB after a lot of hemming and hawing and the lovely ladies here helped convince me that it was worth it! We love it. I use it mostly for walking but have run a little and it has been smooth. We don't really use it for errands b/c LO is now big enough to sit in the shopping cart but I wanted to say that it folds easily enough into the trunk of our little civic, so it is workable for on the go.

We have a BOB and I can't wait to run with it. But honestly I wouldn't want it to be my only stroller. It doesn't fold compactly and I think it would be tough to maneuver in a store. We will keep our BOB in the garage and we got an Uppa Baby Vista to be our every day stroller and that will live in the car.

@Coco Bee: Hmmmm interesting! The one that I want is $399 regular price at REI so with the 20% off it would be under $320. On amazon it's $321. Every couple of dollars counts haha! Plus I'm not patient so if I didn't have to wait for shipping...bonus!

I am a runner (at least was pre-pregnancy and CAN'T WAIT to be again after LO is born) and I have lots of runner friends, both distance and average length runners, who swear by the BOB. It's what we're getting for sure :)

That was the same predicament as me!! I didn't want to pay $300+ for a jogging stroller, but needed something I could use day-to-day.

I got the Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain and I could not be happier!! I've run with it, and it's quite smooth. The wheel locks. It is really heavy duty - I can go up hills, dirt, grass etc. Also, it works with nearly any carseat which is a huge plus! We got the Safety 1st OnBoard 35 McKenna and I love the two together.

It also nearly fully reclines. One downside is that it's pretty heavy
This is the one, same color - we have. Looks like the price went up though because it was $180. They sell it at BRU in stores too.
http://www.amazon.com/Jeep-Liberty-Limited-Terrain-Stroller/dp/B003PNJ1YA/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1347656787&sr=8-14&keywords=jeep+stroller
I'm sure some of the other jeep strollers would be similar.

@Mrs. Jacks: I was originally going for the Baby Jogger City Mini but then read its not for running. So then I was looking into the Baby Jogger FIT but I see the wheel is exclusively fixed. It does seem that the BOB is one of the best options!

Is it easy to open/close? That was pretty much my main selling point on the Baby Joggers!

Ok ladies - this is kind of a spinoff from another stroller thread but I thought I'd start my own for some more specific answers. Here's the deal:

I am planning on running after the baby is born. I ran pre pregnancy and can't wait to start back. But, I wasn't running like 10 miles at a time or anything, maybe 3 or 4, max. I want a stroller that is great for running but I don't want a separate stroller for errands, shopping, etc.

Do you all have recs for a jogging stroller that offers a fixed wheel for running but that can also be unlocked into a swivel wheel for easy turning when strolling regularly?

Help!
