I don't think you bought a second seat already as they are typically used to make it a double stroller (and that is what actually called the rumble seat).</p> <p>As for keeping warm, i never got one of those stroller covers/bundle me's. We used mostly blankets. One in particular that knitted from wool i think and was really big worked amazing. LO would sweat sometimes so i would actually loosen it to let air in. We used the infant regular bundleme for the first year and the Arctic toddler bundleme when L was a year old. </p> <p>Why are you using the rumble seat already?</p> <p>The Arctic was super warm. Ganoosh is thin and we only use it for fall and spring. The 7am Enfant one is expensive but eventually went on sale on Diapers.com. It's honestly been fantastic. Very thick and if we are just going point A to point B, I don't even need to put a coat on him. Obviously if we're going to be playing outside or he'll be walking he'll have one!<br /> I live in NYC (cold, not Ontario cold) and I do walk a lot.<br /> I'm thinking that if you mostly drive and don't plan on "strolling", you probably won't even use the UBV. You'll just carry the baby to the car (in the infant seat at first, then just in your arms once in a convertible seat). So probably not worth it. We have a bundle me for the stroller and it does the trick. On super cold days sometimes I either layer an extra blanket under it, or put the rain shield over everything which kept her face warm and protected too. Plus I had her facing me for a long time which also protected from the wind. </p> <p>I had both the infant size one that I used with the car seat when it was in the stroller, and the bigger toddler size for the toddler seat. It doesn't feel very thick but I always had LO in a snowsuit and then I jammed blankets in there with him. I'm in Boston so its cold but not as cold as Canada! But, I also walk with him for about 30 minutes each way, twice a day to daycare so he needed to be warm. I'm considering the JJ Cole ones they sell at Buy Buy Baby, they just seem thicker and warmer. UB claims it is warm to 20 degrees though, plus with all the other layers I figured he was pretty warm. I live in the suburbs so I don't imagine myself taking long winter strolls, I would mostly be commuting with my car.
