I've had people tell me the reason LO has (had) nut allergies is because I ate so much when she was in the belly, others were shocked due to the fact that she did based on the amount of peanut butter I ate. Most of what I've read says introducing many of the high allergen foods earlier may actually be better. But it takes such a long time for the prevailing wisdom to change. We tried them, but nothing consistent until 6 months old. I think the medical community doesn't really know and I don't know if they'll ever know. I would think that it's more an issue of their little digestive systems not being able to handle solid foods rather than just an allergen issue.
