@stiletto_mom: I would guess "peak" is equivalent to a positive OPK, but without temping or even monitoring via u/s and b/w it's hard to know exactly when you're ovulating. It could be that day or the next...they say it's around 12-36 hours from a positive OPK I think. Temping and a different OPK would probably give you more information!

@stiletto_mom: I started using the cb OPK's like u. Anyways, I got 2 days of o (no fertility) then I tested few days later bc I eas running out of sticks bc I was stuffing them up ( u could tell I was a first user of these things) then I got a solid smiley face which meant peak. Anyway I track my cycles on an app and according the apps thought I ovulated January 29 which I got my peak solid smiley, and states in the app that was ovulation day BUT my gyno confirmed that I ovulated on January 31 which makes it on point 14 th day ovulation on a 27 day cycle! Idk if this helps but I would say just dtd everyday when getting the solid face. U could ovulate anytime once u get the solid face.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to start temping if I don't get a BFP this cycle.

@stiletto_mom: You can even get an LH surge and not ovulate at all, more common for people with problems like PCOS. The only way to confirm ovulation 100% is by temping.

I would say that you probably ovulated the day after your peak day (12-36hrs after LH surge), and the egg will survive for around 24 hours after ovulation.

@stiletto_mom: Unfortunately, no. OPKs can just tell you that they detect LH in your urine, they can't tell you when / if you ovulated. It is usually said that you ovulate 24-48 hours after your LH surge, but they have no way of actually confirming this. A sustained temperature shift of your basal body temperature, though, is considered confirmation.

@LBee: So there is no way to be sure unless I'm temping?

Most likely the last day, but you can't know for sure without doing something like temping. I would often O 2 days after I got a solid smiley... bodies be crazy.

I'm using Clearblue Advance Digital.

Shows a "O" for low fertility.
Shows a blinking :) for high fertility
Shows a solid :) for peak fertility.

Using the OPK, I got 2 days low, 3 days high and 1 day peak (the test says to stop testing when you get the peak as a result).

Now does that mean my O'day was the "peak" day? Or the first "high" day? Or the last "high" day?
