@misolee: A friend of mine had nearly the same surgery as me earlier this year and her cast was about the same size as a splint I currently wear. So that is my current measuring stick. I may be optimistic though haha.

My daughter had a cast on her arm (from finger to right before elbow) and she couldn’t fit into any long sleeve shirts during that time. It was right before spring so still kind of chilly. We had to do short sleeve shirts/ loose cardigans or ponchos. Just something additional to think about 😂

I am having surgery on my hand/wrist the day before Thanksgiving and will have a soft cast on for a while afterwards. Then I realized I am going to Thanksgiving lunch at a very ritzy country club and then to a birthday party dinner the next night at a not as ritzy but still pretty ritzy country club. It is the same group of people but I don't mind wearing the same thing twice as long as I can wash it in between.

I own this dress in charcoal and black and thinking about wearing them in that order (will fit over cast) but unsure how to accessorize.

https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?vid=1&pid=290749012&searchText=swing+dress

Considering this dress with black tights and heels for the dinner https://outlet.loft.com/medallion-textured-short-sleeve-shift-dress/466812

I am open to suggestions. I have a $50 budget for anything new.

Please help
