Lo isn't really at the age where she can play on the playground yet, she just likes to walk around (with my assistance) and it gives us something to do. Coming from Manhattan though, I consider it the 'burbs. I can walk them to a park though. It's one of the reasons we chose the area. My goal is to take them once a week. I usually meet that goal... Last week we we twice, but there are some weeks we don't go at all too. I really try to though... In NYC, we literally went 5-7 times a week... We had three playgrounds within a 5 min walk from us, with one across the street from DD's school and another right across the street from our apt. Totally miss that! I can see a difference in my kids after they go to a park... They love it and are less cranky in the evenings. It's walking distance so really convenient for us. Until he can climb with confidence, playgrounds are not super-fun. We go on average once or twice a week. We also go to the local parks and ball fields regularly. Now we meet friends there every other week or so. She goes to daycare and they are still on the playground 2x a day, though. In warm weather, we usually take her on the weekends to a neighborhood playground. There is one within walking distance that she likes. When it is cold, we hit up indoor play gyms. Actually one of the top parks in America. But we hardly ever go! I try to take her on Saturdays but sometimes its busy. I wish we had a park within walking distance we could go to on the week nights. How often do you go to the playground?
