I had a lap after 3 years of TTC, including an unsuccessful IVF. 2 months later I got pregnant naturally. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage but I believe the lap made a significant difference in my fertility.

@amaree16: that's so much to go through! Trying for 9 years is such a long time.

We tried for almost two years to get pregnant. I had a lap done where they discovered and removed endometriosis. I remember our RE telling us about the different stages of it and how that influences future outcomes (but I don't remember all the stats). We got pregnant the first medicated cycle after that. Our RE was still reluctant to say that endometriosis was the reason I hadn't gotten pregnant sooner. I am now pregnant again and conceived the first cycle we tried, so I do think endometriosis was the problem.

Good luck!

I had a lap, and the doctor found stage 4 endometriosis. I also had a luteal phase defect, so I didn't conceive immediately, but the first round I took of clomid worked and I got pregnant about four months after my lap. I have since gotten pregnant two more times without needing another lap, although they have intentionally been basically back to back pregnancies so that I could avoid another surgery if possible.

My friend had the same procedure done and I remember her being amazed on how soon they were able to conceive shortly after the procedure. Best wishes to you and your SO.

HI, I'm new to this board and I'm wondering if anyone has any success stories they could share? I'm 28 years old and I've been with my husband for 9 years, we started ttc 3 years ago with many failed attempts. We eventually just gave up and still nothing happened . Recently I went to a fertility specialist and found out I had some Congestion in my left pelvic and a titled uterus so my Dr suggested I undergo a laprascopy procedure . I went for my procedure March 16 and I had the works . Ovarian drillng, d&c , removed small cyst , removed endo and had a uterus suspension . I was told after surgery to not have sex for 3 weeks .I started my cycle March 23rd and started have cramps and pains on April 6th that have lasted thru until today April 9th . I'm wondering if it was ovulation so I do the BD on the 6th 7th skipped the 8th and again the morning of the 9th . Has anyone had success at conceiving so soon after their lap ? I'm beyond ready to take a HPT but of course I have to wait about. Thank in advance !
