I started on the lowest dose (50?) and took it for one cycle. I was maybe a touch more irritable than normal but nothing extreme. It releases all of them 36 hours after the injection for better timing. Usually only RE's would do that though. Are you going to be monitored? If you are just doing climid with no trigger, usually only one egg is still released. If you do a trigger, then you are probably being monitored and you'd know how many eggs would release. I think you should definitely go for it. We tried for about 20 cycles, DH's SA was normal, my HSG was clear. Got pregnant on my second round of clomid--about 3 cycles after my HSG. The only problem I could see was a very short luteal phase. My doctor put me on Clomid to make everything "stronger". My LP was ranging 8-10ish days (21-23 day cycles). My first round of Clomid my LP was 12 days and a 25 day cycle. So it did help lengthen my cycle a bit. She had weak ovulation, and when a cycle of IUI cost $750-$1200, it was worth it to her to try it with TI only. She got pregnant the first cycle doing that, and ended up not needing IUI.
