I would do an extra session for a week and then things were good. My son also sleeps/slept like crud. I would nurse one side all night long (lotsa hindmilk) and then in the morning pump the other. I would get almost 5 oz from that side alone.

I heard power pumping increases your production quickly. Basically you're pumping on and off at 10 minute increments for an hour. I haven't tried it though!

I have just had a drop in supply over the last two weeks (like from 10+ oz in 2 pumping sessions to 4-6 oz) so I have added in a night session and am eating oatmeal like it is my job. I don't do the night session every night so I can't tell you scientifically, but it seems like it took a week to really start to see an increase again. I haven't done any supplements though.

It took a few days to start seeing results, at least 2 I would say and it was gradual. Maybe half an ounce increase in that time. The pump that always helped me catch up was my 10:30 before bedtime pump. It was so hard to keep up the 3x a day at work so I used the night pump to compensate. Also more milk plus and drinking water all the time helped me increase. Good luck!!

I currently pump 2x a day at work. At the beginning I had a mini session before work when she was nursing. Then I was able to pump again after she went to bed. Well she dropped the morning nursing session and her sleep sucks so I never find time to pump at night anymore.
So even tho we always supplemented we supplement big time now.

So I am considering increasing to 3x a day now at work. If you increased pump sessions how long did it take for you to see a output result?
