She said it was ok used sparingly after the first trimester. As luck would have it, my headaches eased up after that and I didn't need it after all, but knowing I could helped. I think if to still terrible you should take it. </p> <p>That said, I've always been prone to headaches, and had one week between weaning my toddler and getting my BFP, bought a big old box of sudafed, and then found out I couldn't take it again for another two years with pregnancy and nursing. I was miserable because I couldn't sleep, and sudafed didn't help that. </p> <p>DH did find Nasalcrom (which I'd never heard of) that's a nose spray that's category B. Between that and sleeping with nose strips I felt better in a few days.</p> <p>OH! and hot compresses on my forehead helped with the pressure/pain. It helped immensely. My vote is to just do it. I'm 14 weeks today. So just barely second trimester. I have my second cold in the past month and I'm really struggling. I have sinus pressure and while I would love to "rest" like all the advice out there says to do I have a toddler and a 10 hour work day today. </p> <p>Would you personally take sudafed at this point? It is on my OB's "safe" list for second trimester, but I'm having a hard time committing. I really don't think one of anything is really going to do anything to the baby but OMG HYPERFIXATING on this stupid pill.</p> <p>Two colds in a month when pregnant is really cruel. </p>
