Smilarly to @MrsF, I had it a few times and worried about thrush, but it went away on its own within a day or so. So I guess it can be normal but definitely if you are in too much pain or it doesn't go away soon, I'd call a doc.

I had something similar and I thought it might be thrush, but it went away on its own. It was while we were traveling so I think I wasn't being as careful about making sure J was latching well. I think he did some damage with a few feeds with a bad latch and it took a few days to heal. I was very careful to have him latch well and it went away eventually.

I have pain on one side, but I think that it is shallow latch. I keep repositioning him and it doesn't work. He just decides to make a shallow latch. He's 5.5 months.

In the last 24 hours I've suddenly had cringe worthy pain that lasts the whole feed. LO is 9 weeks and I haven't noticed growth spurt feeding or anything like that. I have some pain between feeds too.

I can power through but is this a sign of thrush or something else I should watch for? Thanks!!
