@JennyD: @Mrs. Yoyo: thank you SO MUCH for the reassurance! The last month has been rough and weird for all of us. He's been sick a lot. Unfortunately this weekend is jam packed but hopefully by Monday I will be able to regain control of the schedule!

We just went through this same thing a couple weeks ago!

Looking back, she was sick and tired (aren't we all?). It took several days of being MILITANT about naps and bed time, and being mindful about what she's eating. This week she seems to have snapped out of it this week.

Whenever I feel like this, it is almost always sickness. In fact, today I felt like this, and sure enough, the snot nose is here. But funnily enough, I was asking the same question, but about the 3s. I was like, "Enough with the ATTITUDE, child! Where did the sweetness go!"

Also, it seems to me that the "difficult days" come in small clusters, then fade for a long time, crop up again, then fade ... it's a weird little cycle.

TOTAL FTM question, but did the "terrible twos" (I hesitate to use the phrase) just descend out of nowhere in your home?

My LO has always been fairly easygoing, but then last Friday he just totally changed. He woke up fussy from his nap and has been fussy ever since. Every transition is a tantrum. I'm learning the rules all over again. I was kinda hoping the severity of his tantrums would die down because we are going on vacation next week and I'm now anxious about it. We got the stink eye for the first time at a restaurant and we had to leave another restaurant tonight! So now I'm thinking this isn't the best time to be out and about.

He did have a little virus last week (I took him to the doc but he said just to let it run its course). Maybe that is it? Or maybe because he weaned last week? I tried to offer a few times and he wouldn't even attempt to nurse.

I checked to see if it is due to a wonder week, but we are past the point of the last wonder week.

I think posting this is sort of silly...this is normal and there's no way anyone can actually "fix" it...well, I guess I just wanted to vent/support. I know I'm due for this phase, I guess I was hoping I'd have a few more weeks of him being a little baby when it was highly convenient for me, LOL!
