@Rattles @Mama Bird @anagram - well, we ruled out physical causes (no UTI, no strep - apparently that can cause excess urine, who knew!), so hopefully it's just a passing phase. Thank you all for the advice. Hopefully once she's back in school Tuesday things will settle back into her routine and it won't be anything to worry about.

This just happened to my son. Freaked me out big time, but it looks like it was a combination of him just feeling really ill (he was coming down with a nasty cold), and it being really cold in our apartment. We broke out the warm stockings and the warm-milk-and-honey, and the accidents stopped.

If that hadn't helped, the next step would have been to rule out a UTI.

Hope your little girl is feeling better!

Eh, I think it might be fairly normal for there to be some PTing setbacks occasionally. Hopefully the Bees with multiple older kids can weigh in.

My 3 year old has been potty trained (day trained--still needs a pull up at night) a year in November. But all of September, after starting at a new pre-school, she was starting to have frequent accidents. Like, one every other day the entire month. Once at school, but all the rest at home as soon as she got home. What was weird is that she can go appropriately at school, hold it while at the park with out nanny after school....but I come home and even with the bathroom 8 feet from us, with her stool and her potty seat set up, she'd still be having an accident within 15 minutes of me walking in the door from work.

And she wouldn't say she had to go or do anything. So after it started getting more frequent, I emailed her school and talked with the nanny and asked that everyone watch the clock and have her go every 1.5-2 hours. I asked the nanny to have her go at school before leaving for the day, and to go as soon as they got home (after the park).

So now, she hasn't had an accident in over a week. But I still think it's kind of a regression because she used to initiate her own pees, and tell us when she had to go, and just go take care of it. And now, we have to tell HER when to go, and she often says she cant wipe and needs help wiping, even though she's been wiping for ages.

I don't even fret too much about these setbacks because last Christmas, my 5 year old niece had an accident because we were at a family party with lots of people, she didn't know where the bathroom was and didn't want to ask I guess. But that made me think that potty training is a long marathon, not a sprint.

When this has happened for us, it's been a UTI. We've never had fevers with them, and my 3.5 yr old only had pain with one of the two. I hope you get answers soon!

My 3 year old has been solidly potty trained since May. We were literally about to give away the last of our diapers, and suddenly the past 2 days she's having multiple accidents. Yesterday she had 3, and already one today. We're keeping a closer eye on the circumstances of what's happening but it seems like it's physical- for example, she went potty this morning and then a half hour later peed all over herself while playing. And it didn't seem like she even noticed until it happened.

We're waiting for the nurse at our ped to call us back about possible physical issues (she has no fever nor is anything hurting so I'm not sure if it's a uti), but wondering what others have seen. We haven't had any major changes to cause her stress, though she did have her adenoids out on Wednesday and I'm wondering maybe something is bothering her psychologically after that? Everything went smoothly with the procedure and she's been perfectly fine otherwise.
