@Meridian: when she got a little older it got better. Then when we sleep trained it got even better.

@Pumpkin Pie: so it sounds like it ended on its own, eventually? Or until you sleep trained?

Oh boy. We went through this, and I thought I was the only one! We went through it around weeks 5-7? She would cry, and would not want to be put down at all from about 3-4 until about 8-9. Hang in there.

No advice but you have my empathy. Many babies have phases with early morning wakeup/fussiness. I hope yours is a short one.

My LO woke up at 4am for a long time. I tried lots of different sleeping/feeding/crying habits but nothing changed her wakeup time. I felt like I was doing something wrong. Eventually I accepted that it was her quirk and came to peace with early mornings.

Ughh, for about the last week, LO has JUST started sleeping better the first half of the night, from roughly 8pm-1am with less fussing (please don't let me jinx this, it was terrible for months...). DH will feed LO sometime around 1 - 1:30 when he wakes, and then he'll go back down.

DH and I switch "shifts" around 2:30am when I wake up and he goes to bed. Now as of the past few days, LO has been fussing starting at 4am and it's been pretty continuous for hours! I set a timer for 10 mins to see if he'll settle down by himself, and he sometimes will, except he'll start up again a few mins later. Last night he fussed off and on from 4-5am, and then I fed him and put him back down in his crib at 5:20. I prayed for an hour or two of quiet, but nope, he was fussing 20 mins later, again off and on. I ended up holding him from 6:30-7:30 just to get him to sleep a bit more.

Is this a regression?! He's 16 weeks/11 weeks adjusted, so he's not really 4 months yet!! Previously he wasn't bad during these hours, nothing a paci wouldn't help, but now the paci doesn't do it :crying:
