I guess I should also mention I'm slightly anemic. I had to take iron supplements both pregnancies and still suffer with my blood sugar tanking.

Sounds like you could use a little more (healthy) fat and/or protein for better satiety . . . what about hummus?

A smoothie with chia seeds in it? Or just a shot of chia seeds straight up.
Chia fills you up!

When I went to my postpartum bisit a few weeks ago, I must admit I was a little miffed at the scale. It's only been seven weeks, the nurse gently reminded me but to me, that number was unacceptable. Before Em was born, I weighed in at 166. After Em was born and seven weeks PP, I weighed in at 159. I had basically still only lost her birth weight (6 pounds, 12 ounces).

My problem is I'm hungry all the time. I seem to have a bttomless pit of a stomach and an appetite that would make a teenage boy green with envy. I try to reason some of it away as having to chase a toddler everywhere and take care of an infant but this needs to be kept in check. I feel like I spend all day grazing but it isn't candy or anything 'bad' - half of H's banana, a bowl of cereal for breakfast; part or all of a stick of string cheese, grapes; a healthful lunch; yogurt, a cup of dry cereal; flour tortilla, a sweet potato that I share; things like that. But I'm always hungry an hour or two later.

Can someone suggest an easy snack that's filling and healthy to get my hunger in check and keep my energy levels up?
