@Rainbow Sprinkles: yep. Just a different color!
I will say it has a large footprint but fits in my Nissan Altima. We do have the passenger seat pushed up a bit but it isn't uncomfortable for me to ride in (i'm 5'5"). He fits great, has plenty of room (and is already tall at 31" at 9 months) and the straps are soooo easy to use compared to our Graco Snugride.

We are really happy with our Graco My Ride 65. It's big, but I think would fit well in a car forward facing. I got it for $120ish during a BRUS online sale.

@JoyfulKiwi: Yes! My mom wanted to get the Safety 1st ALpha Omega Elite, (it's only $89 at Costco), but then she realized that the weight limit is super low so she would just have to replace it soon anyway.

I was literally coming to write this exact type of post! My parents want to get a car seat for our 1 year old for when we come visit them. I don't want something expensive because he'd only use it 2-3 times a year. I'd like a large height/weight limit so they'll get their money's worth, too.

We need to buy a second convertible for DD for my husband's car.

Right now she is in a Recaro Proride in my car, but we need a convertible for DH's car when he drops her off/picks her up from Nana's house while I am at work.

We spent a lot of money on her Recaro, so we don't want to get another pricey seat. However, I don't want to get a cheap seat that she will grow out of in a year.

Does anyone have any recommendations for convertibles that are safe/good quality/have high weight limits?

I am looking at the First Years True Fit C670. It is $175 which would be my MAX.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

ETA: DH said he wants to keep it around $100.

The car is an Acura TL.
