He ended up being totally fine, I don't think he even noticed that we took off/landed. Again I realise the cognitive abilities of a 4.5 month old and a 2 year old are a bit different! But you may find there's no issue at all. His foster mom says he won't eat anything. I'm worried about J getting ear pain during takeoff. My plan was to give him a bottle but he likes (needs?) to lay down for drinking it and I'm figuring they're not going to let him lay across my lap while we're taking off.</p> <p>Any other suggestions for avoiding ear pain for toddlers? He doesn't eat solids really so candy/chewing won't work. </p>
