Boo. :( </p> <p>If you're looking in the states, I recommend San Diego, or one of the beach towns surrounding it. We went there in November and it ended up being pretty easy to do it affordably. It's so beautiful and like a dream! I'd suggest Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach or Seaside. You can rent a little place for just the two of you, rent bikes, explore the coast and more. The taxis are drawn by horses! We rented bikes and rode around the whole island. There are lots of cute shops, fudge, live music, good food, fudge, etc. You can hike, bike, take a horseback tour, explore the fort/historical landmarks, just relax! There are beaches, golf courses, etc. The Grand Hotel is also something to see because it is so famous. All in all, it was fun and relaxing. It might have been more romantic if my inlaws weren't with us, but oh well! I would go back. If you take the ferry back to Mackinaw City, you can explore there or other nearby towns or the falls that are nearby. </p> <p>...and I just wrote you a novel. Told him it was cause he was the one finishing up with his masters, but really I didn't want to make a decision either. We went to St Thomas and it was amazing. Ended up being our babymoon at 10 weeks. I am going to miss the beach this year. The beaches in southern CA are just stunning; we loved the great boutiques and galleries in Laguna and Newport beaches. Crystal Cove State Park was absolutely stunning as well. I made the decision too soon since I miscarried a couple weeks later. Long story short, we want to go somewhere this summer but we really want to stay in the states.
