They have a fleece inside, and the inserts they come with are pretty absorbent. I had the version right before they switched to having size 1 and 2. They had a double snap plus a hip snap. They were smaller than a bum genius 4.0 pocket and fit DS from 10lbs on. The bum genius fit well once he was about 12 pounds. </p> <p>The ones I had are about the same size as their new size 1s. I would guess that they would fit a slender to average child up to 20 pounds or so. For the price they are great. You can check out diaperswappers.com or ebay for them, if you want to try them out before buying a lot (although with the customs things, who knows what will happen).
