@Ginabean3: . @Mrs.Pinecone316: My hair's been the same way! I'm down to washing once a week (even though I work out 2-3x/week! IT DOESN'T GET GREASY). It's so weird. A little dry shampoo freshens it up and as long as I alternate between french braids and ponytails, it still looks fine!

@Mrs.Pinecone316: thanks for the advice and yes! I totally agree...I usually have oily scalp and have to wash my hair frequently but now I can almost go a whole week without washing! Which is awesome...I'm so lazy to blow dry and if I don't it looks like crap, lol.

@Ginabean3: Yes! I have the same climate as you and my skin has been so dry and flaky on my chest and face then just generally itchy at times. My routine that has helped...

After shower.. baby oil then palmers coco butter after all over.

Other times during the day for the belly- Love coconut oil. Also will alternate with palmer coco butter for the belly and mix in some aquaphor.

I add aquaphor to my face moisturizer too.

(only good part about being dry is my scalp doesn't get oily anymore!)

@sarac: you know, that's funny you say that because all three of those things are things I eat a lot of! Especially the whole milk because that's what LO drinks and I'm too lazy to buy two different kinds of milk. But I can see if I can increase the amounts of all of above!

You sound like you need more fat in your diet - pregnancy will take it right out of you. Can you switch to whole milk, eat more avocados and olive oil, and such? I like to whip coconut cream with sugar and vanilla and eat it with strawberries.

@Ginabean3: it's horrible, especially in winter. I've been using cocoa butter but even that isn't quite good enough.

Same issue here. It's pretty expensive but L'Occitand en Provence Shea butter hand cream or body cream is amazing.

Cetaphil cream. I used to use coconut oil but my derm says it doesn't penetrate very deep. Love the way it smells, though

I've been super dry since having DD. I've been exfoliating with a little baking soda mixed with my regular face wash about twice a week and moisturizing with Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating lotion right after I get out of the shower. It works so good and my face is super soft.

Here's the lotion I use:

Yes I practically have scales. I've found it really helps if I put on jojoba oil right out of the shower when I am still damp. Then I use lotion.

yep, its happened to me 3 times now. I generally have really dry skin but its scaly dry now - it is my fault though, as I forget to moisturise more often than not. I use La Roche Posay Lipikar balm when it gets bad, and it does help a lot. My weird spot is dry skin behind my underarm. no idea why!

Did anyone develop super dry skin during pregnancy?

I drink lots of water, put lotion on twice a day, and I still feel like my skin is so dry. I live in a mild climate, CA.

What's a good/effective lotion to use? I've been using Bliss body cream but I guess it's just not cutting it!
