We currently mix, but good point about not wanting to waste breast milk. Except we are using the small bottles of ready-to-feed formula, so those are pricey and I don't like to waste those either, haha!

Separate. I didn't care about her not finishing formula but I didn't like seeing wasted BM when I worked so hard to make it. BM bottles I put back in the fridge for another meal.

It was easier for me to either make up a full bottle of pumped milk or a full bottle of formula depending on what I had on hand

Separate! I wanted to make sure no BM was wasted!

When I was combo feeding I mostly kept it separate and I preferred that way. But then we had to switch formulas and LO wouldn't take it if she'd had BM recently so I had to mix it then so it always tasted the same.

I voted mix it but really I should say, do whatever is easier. Now that I think about it, easier for me was having it separate...

I tried mixing with DD#1 when switching from breastmilk to formula, but she wouldn't accept it. We had to go totally cold turkey. When we went from formula to cow's milk or pedicure mixed with cow's milk, I mixed and that helped the transition.

Never had enough milk to mix them in a bottle, but he'd get both at each feeding for the longest time... so we kind of mixed them.

I've always kept them separate--she doesn't always finish a bottle, and bm and formula last different amounts of time out of the fridge/after she's had some. I hate wasting bm but I don't care about throwing away formula.

I nurse, then supplement with a bottle, so I keep them separate. We did go through a phase where we gave bottles at night and we mixed if I had pumped milk available.

When I started to supplement I mixed. So I would do 3/4 BM, then 1/2, then 1/4 then all. I did it pretty quickly but wanted to make sure LO would be OK with formula. Then we did just BM bottles, nursing and formula bottles!

If you supplemented did you mix some BM and some formula in one bottle, or did you keep them separate?

I can't decide if it would be easier to just do one full formula bottle a day or top up multiple bottles throughout the day.
