Right now we are doing bfing and then I give 30ml of formula. She usually gobbles it right down but then falls asleep so I don't know if I should offer more.

Right now nursing is taking a while - she is such a sleepy nurser. I'm toying with the idea of pumping instead since she takes the bottle so much faster. Not sure if that will save time in the long run though !

We mix. E spits up regardless and I like my fantasy that he only spits up the formula half. :p

We do full bottles as well. He gets BM only during the day and at night we alternate BM and formula.

When we did it was straight! If she didn't finish a bottle I didn't want any BM going to waste!

I don't mix....don't want the breastmilk going to waste if she doesn't drink it. I usually pump enough for 3/4 bottles. The last is either formula or stash milk.

I ended up EPing, so I would give a full bottle of BM if I had it, but often had to add formula to get a full bottle. I liked the feeling of LO getting at least 1 full bottle of BM a day even if it took me 4 pumps to get it!

I didn't mix it. I just gave them a bottle of formula when I knew I didn't have much milk. Eventually I knew exactly which feeding they needed a bottle while my supply recovered (always at 1pm)

I never mix in case she doeant finish it. I don't want any breastmilk to go to waste. When she was younger we would do a small Bootle of breastmilk (or nurse ) followed by a small bottle of formula.

Once she was older (9months+) we switched to breastmilk in morning and evening and formula during the day.

I don't mix! E still gets bottles of breastmilk but I only froze them in 4 oz portions and she will drink 6 oz. so I give her the breastmilk then a 2 oz portion of formula

How do you supplement? Do you give a bottle of straight formula or mix it with breast milk?
