I don't have PCOS but there are lots of suggestions in the book "It Starts with the Egg" by Rebecca Fett (including supplement and dietary suggestions) for people with PCOS. Might be worth a read.

Thanks everyone. I'm mostly trying to reduce my insulin resistance. It would be a miracle if I could actually ovulate on my own.

I took chromium and inositol as well, and then I was put on a cycling seeds regimen which really helped even out my cycles. I can look up the exact details if you're interested, but it was a combo of pumpkin, sunflower, chia, sesame and flax seeds, plus evening primrose oil and cod liver oil. You took half of them for the first half of the month, and the other half for the second half.

I took Pregnitude also because my OB mentioned it might help, but nothing happened after a year - through 3 IUIs - so I stopped. I got pregnant with IVF a year after that.

I took Pregnitude, which has inositol in it. I'm not exactly sure if it helped but my endocrinologist didn't think it would hurt and my OBGYN had seen some women have success from it. I did get pregnant so I'd probably take it again even though it was a little expensive.

I was wondering if anyone had taken any supplements for PCOS and if you thought they were effective? I've been taking Chromium and Inositol (along with Metformin) and I'm seeing improvement in my blood sugar, but not sure if that's the Metformin or the supplements.
