I agree with looking at some vitamins and/or prenatals to see if that helps!

La Leche League told me to expect this--also the milk apparently tastes different so baby usually nursing less that this time, too.
I have yet to see if it makes a difference for me as I as am still sans AF.

My period came back a month after giving birth and I never noticed a drop in supply. I pumped a lot and took supplements!

@LivsMama: Thanks for the tip! I'm taking calcium now but it's not the combined one - what brand do you have?

yup. Start taking calcium+magnesium tablets daily. They have to be a single tablet though. They work together to keep your levels up, and it reduces the hormone drop that affects milk. That tip came from my LC, and it def helped me!

About a week ago I noticed my supply was dropping from my pump yield at work. I usually pump 5 oz first session then 4-5 oz second session, but it had dropped to barely 5 oz combined from two sessions!!! I thought for sure my body was telling me it's done and was quite sad (DD is 10.5 months) but then a few days later I got a visit from a "friend". I had a brief visit from her around 4 months pp and my supply had gone down to nil. It took over three weeks of crazy oatmeal, MMT and MMP binging to bring it back up. My "friend" left two days ago and this mornings work pump session is back to normal. HURRAH!!!

Anyone else notice a big supply drop when she-who-shall-not-be-named visits?
