Mine dips with my period too - let down takes forever too. I drink tons of fluids and take More Milk Plus 4x a day, which seems to help.

Mine dipped around that time. Sadly it never fully recovered. I did manage to get us to one year though. These are the things I did:
- Drank tons of water
- Mother's milk tea every day
- Ate a ton (more than I thought I should), including lots of the recommended foods like oatmeal
- Power pumped in the evenings on the worst days
- Made sure to replace those little rubber thingies on the pump pretty often
- By about month 10, I also decided to rent a hospital grade pump because the motor on mine seemed to be dying, and this got us to the end

Push the water, eat lactation-friendly foods (for me, avocado did wonders for my supply), and you may want to make sure you are eating enough calories. I had to eat way more than the recommended number because I was exercising while I was nursing.

Your period is the likely culprit! Both times my supply dipped and came back up afterwards. Push the water and take some MMP! I know you want to lose the baby weight but make sure you're eating enough!

I am sorry! This happened to me too. I never had great supply to begin with, I had to fight tooth and nail for DD to be EBF the 1st 6 mos. My supply keeps getting lower and lower after 6 mo, and now at 9.5 months, I officially weaned. But for me I had to reduce my pumping sessions from 3 to 2 due to super busy work schedule, and b/c DD doesn't sleep well, I wasn't as motivated after 6 months to pump at home. So really no advice here, just want to say I'm sorry!

To boost my supply at 5 months after I got the flu I drank a whack of water and power pumped (15min on/15min off, repeat 4 times) for a week.

Hey all, I could really use some advice. My supply seems to be tanking. I had a fairly decent supply before returning to work and now at 7 months it seems to be all down hill. There are a few things going on that could be causing it: first, we started solids, second I started dieting, and third (at least just for this week) I'm going to start my period. Now we are only doing about a jar of baby food spread out throughout the day, I'm eating roughly 2050 calories a day (I'm not sure if this is enough), and my period returned at 2 months PP and has always caused a small dip in supply but nothing like this.

I usually pump 4 times a day, 3 at work and one at night after LO goes to bed, plus 2-3 nursing sessions a day. I usually get between 3.5-4, at least enough for the 15 oz that LO drinks at daycare. The last week it's gradually gone down and today at my first pump I only got 2.5 oz. I'm really starting to freak out because I would like to continue to EBF/P until LO is one year, but I don't know if that's likely to happen if this continues. I've broken into my frozen stash already and it's dwindling fast. I thought it I only had to do it when I AF was visiting it would be fine, but it seems like I might have to do it more if this continues.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
