Sometimes she stays latched on and pushes her legs up like she's doing downward dog. </p> <p>R bit me the other morning (she got teeth maybe 3/4 weeks ago). I was exhausted so I wanted to do side laying instead of sitting up and holding her. We used to do this a ton but haven't in a month maybe. Well, she just bit instead of latching. I was so shocked that I swatted her and said NO! She got scared and stared crying so I felt horrible and offered again and she bit me again. I said NO again and she just looked startled and started sobbing. I finally sat up and got her positioned properly and she latched normally and hasn't done it since. Do you all think it was because it wasn't our normal position she thought we were playing? We are so busy on the weekends and often have family visiting, so I got into the habit of just staying on my pump schedule and only nursing her the same amount on weekends (1 or 2 times each day). People wanted to let me sleep in (thank you!) or put her to bed, or we were out and about (and she refuses completely to nurse in public). Plus there was a period of biting that really effected me, so I was not in any kind of rush to put her to breast during that period. My lo is 13 months and I think we are on the road to weaning. I was all on board for blw but now she is a crazy lady while "nursing" and I don't know how long I can go on. Lately I have only nursed her on demand, which has only been one to 3 times a day but now she is always jumping/ climbing around and just playing with it. So now she is pulling at my shirt every now and then but when I try to let her nurse she latches for a brief moment then let's go and starts playing... if it were just at home it would be fine but it is very embarrassing in public! The issue at this point is that I'm really trying to stop pumping so that I'm not making way more than he drinks. So I'm either sending freshly pumped milk (refrigerated) or frozen to daycare. Nursing is still going strong at almost 13 months. My goal was 12, so yay! At the point where I want to be done pumping at work. Reduced from 3 to 2 pumps a couple weeks ago. Now have to try going from 2 to 1, etc.</p> <p>Struggling, though, with how much he is supposed to be drinking at this age. Daycare is down to giving him a sippy cup of 2 oz. for each meal there. That's way, way, way down from even a couple weeks ago when he was still drinking 12 oz/day. We have increased his solids, but does anyone know how much per day is recommended for him to drink? Goat milk came up as a possibly less inflaming source of dairy. I did some research, and I personally feel like the health benefits are comparable between goat/cow milk and that the lactose isn't very much lower in goat so it probably wouldn't help with lactose intolerance or anything. But, what I did find out (and witness in my LO) is that the goat milk is more like breast milk than other milks and makes the transition easier for babies with sensitive tummies. My LO got constipated with too much cow milk but not with goat, so we started with goat.
