I think I've blocked a lot of it out of my memory, but I still remember some things...like crying when my mom had to change it. I was terrified of doctors and any sort of medical procedures for a long time! I had the bag for 4 months and then they removed it. I was in and out of hospitals for over a year because of my issues (enlarged colon). I know my parents had such a hard time with it. I can't imagine going through all that with a baby. He's already completely off breathing support, which I was not expecting, but is great. However, that means they're being conservative with the morphine, so he's not thrilled. And of course crying/startling after abdominal surgery just makes it worse.
