And I've been doing a lot of both those and with as often as mine was happening it's doubtful it could hide, they used epinephrine and something else which is stronger and not a blip. So fingers crossed. They spent 2 hours pushing my heart, went all the way up to 232 bpm, and weren't able to trigger my svt. Hopefully it just resolved on its own but I was really looking for some certainty from this. I'm feeling much better today but my groin is still super sore.<br /> I'm cleared to get pregnant whenever I want to as I'm not going back on beta blockers. My doctor thinks the svt is gone or basically impossible to make happen anymore. He also has meds that are approved for pregnancy after the 1st trimester if it did come back. But I had a lumpectomy and have 2 little's. I was worried. I talked to DD and DS about it a bit because for a few days our normal routine was anything but. My parents and sister decided they had to come to help with the kids even though I didn't want them to. So I had to let them know something was going on. They are 5 and 3 so I kept it to I was going to see the Dr and was going to have several really big shots right in my boob and I was going to be really sore for awhile and have a boo boo. I kept myself as calm as I could with just only believing in the good outcome. I cant worried about what "could" happen. I was only going to believe everything would go smoothly and then deal with bad stuff if it happened. And they gave me some drugs to relax me day of, ha! I only completely lost it as I was wheeled into surgery and they put me out fast so it was all good. The whole thing just felt like crap emotionally but I knew it had to be done. If you really like the dr that’s great (I also liked mine) and you could ask them about their experience with the anesthesiologist. That might help a bit to hear about their experience. Before my sinus surgery, I'd only had my wisdom teeth out, and the thought of being "under" freaked me out. But, I kept in mind that I needed the surgery because of chronic health issues. Multiple doctors advised me that I needed the surgery and the risks were small. I chose a skilled surgeon that was highly recommended and whom I trusted. Ultimately what helped me manage is realizing that having the surgery was more likely to give my child a healthier mom than not having it, and that if something were to go wrong, she still has a great dad and will be OK. I'm a control freak in many ways, but after a year of awful pain and not being the parent that I wanted to be because of those limitations, it was almost easier to resign myself to the uncertainty of surgery than to continue living with the pain. And actually the heart doctor who's doing the procedure, who's amazing on all fronts, including bedside manner, said that this is so routine for him. It is scary because complications can happen, even if they're not likely. You just have to remember how much better you will feel when you come out of it! I'll mostly be under twilight sedation but will be put under for a short time while they actually ablate the extra electrical impulses in my heart.<br /> I'm super freaked out to be vaguely awake for some of it but am equally scared something will go wrong under the anesthesia and I'll leave my baby without a mom. </p> <p>I know some of you have had a surgery when you had littles. How do you deal with that feeling? </p> <p>Rationally I know this is routine and everything will be fine but having a little makes it just that much scarier </p>
