I love surprise trips :-) I surprised my DH with a trip once--I bought tickets to a James Taylor and Carol King concert at Tanglewood (outdoor concert venue in Mass.) and we camped out for a few nights nearby. He loved it! And last Christmas my mom got me and DH (who was then my fiance) a gift certificate to a bed and breakfast in Easthampton.
