@cascademom: Yeah, that's not to say I'm not struggling. It's just because last time her sleep was this bad, she was a newborn and I had really bad ppd and wasn't sure I'd make it though this go around, let alone another.

@cascademom: My lo used to sttn but at 9 months is sleeping TERRIBLY..but I figure if I can handle anywhere from 3 to 7 wakeups (and not go right back down ones either) I can do a newborn again!

Once sleep came back into our lives at 6 months, it makes wanting another easier. Thinking about another newborn phase is hard right now, but it's 6 months then better. Our marriage was tough months ago, but it matured a lot. I think with the marriage maturity, we could handle newborn-hood again in the future.

I'm thinking maybe I can handle another newborn phase after all! Ok, not right this second, and yes, I'm tired, and my patience is a little less there, but overall I'm hanging in there. For the first time since dd was a month old (and things got difficult) I am feeling I might want another for me not just to give dd a sibling.

I'm honestly surprised!

Anybody else have a surprising reaction to a tough parenting time?
